This tool is fully anonymous on both sides. We do not record who you are. Please do not include names or other identifying details about the person whose conduct you are evaluating — the analysis works on the words and actions themselves, not on identity. This protects everyone, including you.
All analysis runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server. Nothing is stored. Close this tab and it is gone.
OathCheck covers federal oaths of office, plus two professional exceptions — the Physician's Pledge (WMA Declaration of Geneva, 2017) for M.D. and D.O. physicians including psychiatrists, and the Mental Health Professional Code of Ethics for licensed psychologists, social workers, counselors, and marriage and family therapists. State oaths and other professional codes are not currently covered.

⚖ Disclaimer: OathCheck is a voter education tool designed to help voters and concerned citizens make informed assessments of whether the conduct of public officials, physicians, and mental health professionals matches the specific oaths or codes of ethics they swore to or accepted at licensure. It does not constitute legal advice, legal finding, medical opinion, clinical finding, or accusation against any identifiable individual. For federal oaths, the analysis is based on the text of the U.S. Constitution, Amendments, and landmark Supreme Court precedent. For the Physician's Pledge, the analysis is based on the WMA Declaration of Geneva (2017 revision). For the Mental Health Professional Code of Ethics, the analysis is based on shared core principles synthesized from the APA, NASW, ACA, and AAMFT codes. Constitutional, ethical, and professional interpretation involves nuance and competing legal and professional theories — this tool identifies areas warranting consideration.
